Manage assets and asset groups
Updated July 16, 2026
Assets are the equipment you service — transformers, breakers, motors, and more. Grouping them and linking them to jobs keeps every measurement, photo, and report tied to the right gear.
Create an asset on the web
- From a project, open Assets → Add → Create, or go to Assets in the sidebar and create from the list.
- Enter a Name.

- Optionally set Group and Status, then select Create.
Asset groups
Groups keep related assets together.
- When creating or editing an asset, select Create group under Group, or open Asset groups and create one there.

- Enter a Name and save.
- Assign assets to the group from the asset form, or open the group and add assets.
An asset belongs to one group at a time. Remove it with Remove from group — the asset itself is not deleted.
Link assets to jobs
- From a project, open Assets → Add → Link or Create.

- From a work order or measurement, use Links the same way.
An asset can be linked to many projects and work orders at once.
On the mobile app
Field techs can create and link assets too:
- Open Assets to create, or use Create from a project, work order, or measurement to link automatically.
- Set the Status and Asset group.
Assets are listed by group, with anything ungrouped shown in its own section.
